Holy wow I've had some issues after an injury, I am so weaaaaak. I may have to do day 1 a few times before I can move on haha I had to take breaks! Who even. I anymore. I guess day one is always the hardest!

I love the strength I feel in my own two legs. No matter if I'm skating daily or don't get back on the ice for some length of time, I can always count on these groups of muscles that are trained from the time I was very young to cary me powerfully around the rink. The feeling of flowing and feeling so free❤

This is such a common mistake & it happens to everyone at some point ☺️ Sometimes we are just chasing that wish to make the spin super fast, but this is not how we gain speed, at least not in a controlled manner. When you’re spinning in a scratch spin, it’s important to pull in gradually with your arms & legs. It’s also important to keep this gradual pace the whole time when spinning & pulling in. If you start at the beginning with a gradual pace & then get super quick towards the end, you could lose the placement in your foot & the spin loses control. We want to keep this balance in our foot throughout the whole spin, so make sure to relax & take your time. I can’t live without the feeling of freedom when I step on the ice. The sound of the blade gliding through the ice. Stretching my spirals. When the moms of little girl who are just beginning to skate point at me and say “wow”. That one has made me cry since I’ve only been skating 3 years and can barely do a 1 foot spin.
I love the crackle sound and the feeling of gliding being similar to soaring. Skating hits so many levels hahaha. Spinning sucks but feels incredible at the same time hahaha
Yes, my thoughts were exactly the same. I love that sounds, the flying feeling. I love the spins entrance and the sound it makes... and turns, the longer the better.
At the end of the season I feel tired because of work, family and skating on top but just three days after the season is over I miss my skating routine 😅 and I check the time schedule of the only rink open during the summer in my city.
